| Glass was discovered almost 6,000 years ago in the far-off lands of Syria, and with this noble material, it has been possible, over time, to innovate, adapt and perfect the work of artists. The first blown glass factory in central Mexico—fruit of the effort and business vision of don Javier Álvarez Domenzain—was founded in the beautiful city of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, a city declared a Mankind Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2008. |
